5/13/2010 8:55:25 PM - The Browns waited until the sixth round to draft a wide receiver. When they finally selected Carlton Mitchell with the 177th overall choice they picked a player whose friends tried to persuade him to stay in school for his senior year.
And so it goes for the Browns receivers. Coach Eric Mangini is counting on second-year player Brian Robiskie making a big jump from his rookie year when he caught only seven passes. He is also counting on Mohamed Massaquoi building on the 34 passes he caught last year.
Mitchell has something that cannot be coached—size. He is 6-3, 215 pounds. Some pre-draft publications compared him to Brandon Marshall, a fourth-round choice of the Broncos in 2005 now playing for the Dolphins.
