Palmer probably had no business playing in the winless Bengals' loss at Texas Stadium. He sat out the previous week with a sore elbow and might have to get Tommy John surgery on it. If he had been healthy, he probably would have hit a wide-open Chris Perry for a couple touchdowns, and we might be talking about a four-game losing streak for the Cowboys.

Anyway ...

As he enters his eighth NFL season, the receiver is already on his fifth different team. In previous stops with Dallas, Cleveland, San Francisco and Tampa Bay, Bryant has played for eight different coaches, eight different offensive coordinators and with 13 starting quarterbacks.

But early on it appears as if Bryant is building a nice rapport with Carson Palmer.

Said Bryant of Palmer: "With him it's about precision and timing and that will help me pick my game up. That's something I've lacked for the most part everywhere I've been. He's almost got it down to a science. I know what to expect because it's been consistent so far."
