Eagletarian: DeSean Deflects
5/14/2010 5:35:34 AM - If you're wondering where last week's media-driven back-and-forth with Donovan McNabb left DeSean Jackson, the answer last night was sitting in front of a rack of polo shirts at the Modell's in Mount Laurel, N.J., signing autographs for a steady stream of patrons -- and acting very skittish about reigniting the controversy.

Eagles Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
5/13/2010 8:55:30 PM - Only time will tell whether the Eagles' offense will be better with Kevin Kolb at quarterback than it was with Donovan McNabb. But it's safe to say it will be different.

Kolb might not have the gun that McNabb had, but he's a rhythm passer who gets the ball out quickly and is extremely accurate. Under Kolb, the Eagles likely will become a more traditional West Coast offense, heavier on short and intermediate routes like slants, curls and crossing patterns that will give receivers opportunities for yards after the catch, and lighter on the deep throws that were McNabb's greatest strength.

"The yards after the catch are going to be a big part of our offense," Kolb said. "I know this group (of receivers) will make the plays if I give them the chance to do so."

Gonzo: Making sense of McNabb's remarks
5/11/2010 9:36:22 PM - Donovan McNabb couldn't help himself. That probably doesn't surprise you. There are ways to answer questions that prevent you from adding to the attendant drama and keep you from becoming part of the story. Then there's the approach McNabb often takes, which is sort of the opposite of that and makes the former-Eagles-turned- (more...)

Stephen A. Smith: McNabb's response to Jackson defines him
5/11/2010 6:09:05 PM - There was a time when you would look at Donovan McNabb and, sad to say, all you saw was the Eagles' brass. You saw coach Andy Reid whenever you heard McNabb toe the company line. You thought of Joe Banner whenever he strayed away from the inflammatory. And on the occasion when he refused to say anything at all, you couldn't help but think of owner Jeffrey Lurie and the NFL, knowing this fit right in with the image both wanted to be projected.
